What we collect

Nothing at all from reading the site. There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel and no third-party tag on any page.

If you send a form: your name, email address, and the optional details you chose to give — a phone number, the topics you ticked, and anything you typed in the message box.

If you tick a message consent box: the wording as it read at that moment, the address of the page it was read on, the timestamp, and the network address the form was sent from.

Why

To answer you, and to send the messages you asked for and only those.

The record is kept so that if a carrier or an aggregator asks who agreed to what, there is an answer with a date on it. No one is ever contacted on the strength of it.

Who sees it

The EDU Aid Network team. We do not sell, rent or share your details or your consent with third parties for their own marketing, and we do not pass your details to a school or an advertiser.

How long

Form submissions for two years, so that a question about something you sent can be answered. Consent records for four years, the period mobile carriers ask that they be kept for. Ask and both go sooner, with one exception: a consent record survives a deletion request, because it is the only evidence that messaging you was permitted.

Your rights

Write to info@goeduan.com and ask for a copy, a correction, deletion or an opt-out. You get an answer inside 30 days, and you do not have to explain why you asked.

Some states and countries also give you a right to take a complaint to a privacy regulator; where you live decides whether that applies to you. Coming to us first is normally the faster route.

Children

This site is written for people applying to post-secondary education and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their details; if you believe we have, write to us and we will delete them.

Security

Every page and every form is served over HTTPS. Submissions are checked for origin, rate-limited per address and signed with a server-side ticket before they are accepted. Outgoing mail leaves from this domain rather than a third party's, which is what lets the domain's SPF record vouch for it.
